PamHetlinger 's Thoughts:

I used to have a slight obsession with embroidered/statement jackets to the point that I gathered around 20 jackets while working in San Francisco. (yes I know, I’m crazy!) In my defense, that was basically the uniform I would wear to work every day. After relocating from San Francisco to Boston and going through the painful process of moving my entire closet across the country, I realized I needed to simplify things and downsize. Although I still love embroided jackets, now I only have about 7, but I use them as often as I can. I recently decided to add one more to my little collection. This one really caught my eye because it’s very different from my other jackets. I love the embroidery, the cut and the mix of beautiful colors.

Statement jackets are meant to be paired with a very simple look to let them stand out. A nice pair of jeans, pumps and a simple tee are all you need to complete the outfit. I’m finding more often than not that simplicity is a great rule of thumb if you’re ever in doubt. besos! Pam
