understatement 's Thoughts:

I’ve been wanting a distressed tee but didn’t want to actually buy one because 1) I’m not too rich and 2) the probability of it going out of style before I justify the money spent is high. So I got a $5 mens tee shirt at a convenience store and distressed it myself. It’s kind of hard to see the distressed parts in this photo due to my hair and the distance away from the camera, but if you care to know what I did keep reading this next part, if you don’t need to know, skip ahead to the bottom:
I cuffed the sleeves then cut the hem off the bottom, and created an asymmetrical hem (it’s longer in back by a few inches.) I cut slits up the sides that are about 2 inches long, and cut a hole in the left shoulder, above my right collar bone, and accross my right shoulder blade. I also attached a pocket from some of the cloth cut from the hem and cut a few tiny slits along the collar.
I wore the distressed tee with the slightly distressed looking jeans because I wanted to play up the grunge look of the shirt juuuust enough to make it obvious.
Do you guys like the distressed tee trend?
